Interpreting Parent Promoter Score: Use Cases for Each Quartile
Recommendations for Outreach Based on Each Quartile
*Outreach strategies should align with the user's funnel stage.
Bottom Quartile (1-25% - Disengaged)
Use Case: Reach out to disengaged families in the Deposited and Admitted funnel stages, considering low Parent Promoter Score as a possible melt indicator.
Outreach:
-
Send an extra text message or email asking if the user has questions about next steps, such as:
- Financial aid
- Housing
- Orientation
Lower Quartile (26-50% - Partially Engaged)
Use Case: Use Parent Promoter Score to convince families with low engagement in the Inquiry, Application Incomplete, and Application Submitted stages to explore more of your resources.
Outreach:
- Send a text message or email or export a call list to inquire about their student’s likelihood to enroll.
-
Send a survey through CampusESP, with a scale for their response:
- 1 – Very Likely
- 2 – Still Deciding
- 3 – Not Attending
Upper Quartile (51-75% - Moderately Engaged)
Use Case: Yield more deposits by targeting engaged families in the Admitted funnel stage.
Outreach:
- Export a list of these users for personal outreach by counselors.
- Send invitations to Admitted Student Days or provide information on paying the enrollment deposit.
Top Quartile (76-100% - Highly Engaged)
Use Case: Reach out to families who are highly engaged in the Admitted/Deposited funnel stages to gather feedback and testimonials that you can share with other families and use to improve your communications next year.
Outreach:
- Create and send a survey to solicit feedback on the admissions process.
- Request parent testimonials to highlight positive experiences.
These tailored strategies can help maximize engagement, reduce melt, and improve yield across all quartiles.
