Performance dashboards provide an all-in-one landing page for you to take key actions (such as making a post or SMS campaign, or see pending tasks), and view key metrics that will help you understand your users, content performance, parent engagement strategy, and much more! This guide will walk you through creating a new dashboard, setting a default dashboard, as well as adding widgets (including rearranging and resizing them!)
1) Creating a New Dashboard
When logging into the portal, you will have default performance dashboard(s) configured to include widgets that are most important for your module. Below is an example of what you can expect your dashboard to look like.
This default dashboard is not able to be modified, so if you would like to have full ownership of editing capabilities (such as adding widgets, rearranging them, or resizing them), you will want to click on Options > Make Copy of Dashboard. You can have as many dashboards as you’d like!
Once you’ve created a copy of a dashboard, you will be able to make as many adjustments as you’d like, starting with renaming the dashboard! You can do so by clicking Options > Rename Dashboard.
You can change the name any way you’d like! You can rename a dashboard as many times and as often as you’d like.
NOTE: If you have multiple modules and segmented dashboards for your modules, we recommend specifying that when making a copy and renaming! For example, if you are making a copy of your Family Communication dashboard, make sure to note that in the new name of the dashboard to minimize confusion.
Voila! You’ve just created and renamed your dashboard. You are now ready to dive deeper into dashboards :)
2. Setting a Default Dashboard
If you would like to set any of your dashboards as the default (meaning it will be the first dashboard visible when you log into your profile) then select Options > Set as Default Dashboard. NOTE: This dashboard is only your default dashboard, because it is only visible to you.
3. Adding a Widget
For a comprehensive description of each widget and how you can edit the data shown in each widget, please refer to our Guide to Widgets. To add a new widget, select Edit.
Next, you will select Add Widget.
You will now see a list of widgets, along with brief descriptions of each. Select the widget of your choice then press Add Widget.
NOTE: You can only add one widget at a time.
And that’s how you add new widgets! You can load in as many widgets as you’d like and you can have duplicate widgets to analyze different segments of data.
4. Rearranging Widgets
To rearrange the positioning of your widgets, select Edit.
Once you’ve selected the edit button, you can move widgets by dragging them to your desired location. When you’re happy with the positioning, make sure to click Save or the widgets will revert back to their original position.
5. Resizing Widgets
To modify the size of your widget, select Edit.
Now, when hovering over widgets, you will see a double-sided arrow.
Drag the arrow vertically and/or horizontally to change the size of your widgets. When you’re happy with sizing, make sure to click Save or the widgets will simply revert to their original size.
